For as long as can be, employers have struggled with what perks to give to employees and when. Many try to play the “fairness” game with the attitude that what you do for one employee you do for all. Others base their perks on performance with a different attitude that employees who reach certain performance marks, unlock certain benefits or perks. This struggle continues. However, what is new in the benefit and perks world are those that are based on if you are a remote employee or not. As we all know, the pandemic ushered in a new way of working where the physical office proved NOT to be the only place to get the job done. What we maybe haven’t realized is that it has changed the game in terms of employee perks.
